Online Resources

Below are some links to websites which parents may find useful.

Book recommendations - whether your child is a keen reader, a reluctant reader or has dyslexia, Love reading 4 kids has recommendations by age group.

http://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/

Support your child's learning journey, the school run site includes resources by year group.

http://www.theschoolrun.com/

The national curriculum

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/national-curriculum

(Should you want more information on how each year group will follow the curriculum, please refer to the curriculum section of the Parents' zone).

E-safety

https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/

Keeping your children safe whilst they're online is essential for the world we live in. Thinkuknow has lots of advice for parents to help protect children from abuse online. You can even report an incident, should you have concerns. Talking to your child having a calm and open conversation is one way for you and your child to explore what is happening in an honest and supportive way.

Anti-bullying

https://www.kidscape.org.uk/

Kidscape equips young people, parents and professionals with the skills to tackle bullying and safeguarding issues across the UK.

Raising a child in the modern world

Sue Palmer writes and speaks about child education and development in the modern world. She has written some interesting books aimed at parents, her website below is a useful resource for every parent.
