THE SCHOOL DAY
The school doors open at 8:40am to allow pupils to be in school ready for the start of the compulsory school day.
The official end time of the compulsory school day is 3:20pm.
This equates to 32.5 hours in a typical school week (including breaks but no after-school activities)
