Home Learning

In line with our Homework Policy and DfE guidance, Rowledge C of E Primary School encourages learning at home as a way to support and enhance classroom teaching and strengthen the partnership between school and families. Reading for pleasure is the top priority and the most important form of homework for all children, and families are encouraged to establish regular reading routines at home. Alongside this, we share a range of optional online resources that can be used flexibly to reinforce class learning, practise key skills, and spark curiosity. These digital tools are intended to complement, not replace, reading, and should be used in a way that suits each child and family, ensuring learning at home remains positive, manageable, and enjoyable.
